Accessibility
We have made some changes to the accessible campsite to ensure your stay meets your needs, but we also would advise that due to the restrictions of the site that you read the information below before you decide that this is the correct campsite for you.
This year we will have an Accessibility Steward. The stewards role is to ensure you are pitched correctly and will oversee the access to the accessible toilets and to power if you have booked this.
If you require power this will need to be booked and will have a charge of £25. Power must be pre-booked on our website. If you require this you will need to email mauiwauievents@gmail.com with evidence of your booking for accessible camping to obtain an access code for the booking. There are a limited number of power points in this area. Power cannot be booked onsite when you arrive. The accessible campsite is the only campsite with access to power.
Due to the proximity to the arena there will be noise. The campsite is located just outside the arena close to make it easier for those with mobility issues. If you would prefer a quieter campsite it may be better to book quiet camping. This is £20 per person. Please note the quiet campsite does not have access to power.
There are no showers in Accessible camping. The closest shower to this campsite will be located in the main campsite.
Please be aware that when booking Accessible Camping you will be allotted a pitch. There is a limited space in this area. This means that we cannot have big groups camping in this area.
We have 2 types of carer tickets this year:
Type 1 - If you require assistance with basic personal functions, such as using the bathroom, you can apply for a free carers ticket.
Type 2 - If you only require minimal assistance due to a health condition you can apply for a half price ticket for your carer.
Carer tickets will not be allocated to parents/guardians of children under the age of 17, as all children under the age 17 attending Maui festival must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
If a Carer would like to bring their child or teen, there must be another responsible adult accompanying the child/teen who has also purchased a ticket.
