Arthur Smith along with Comedy Store’s Markus Birdman, BGT Finalist Danny Posthill, Welsh Silly Billy Noel James and other hot new acts will be on Friday and Saturday in the Jeremiah Marques Stage.
Arthur Smith is one of the most respected comedians working in the UK and was awarded the Perrier Award for 'Lifetime Achievement’ at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Arthur gained much recognition from the popular TV series 'Grumpy Old Men' but also has an extensive list of TV and radio credits. Markus Birdman is an international headline act and Comedy Store favourite, travelling to festivals and some of the biggest comedy clubs around the world.
Danny Posthill is one of the UK's top comedy impressionists who reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2015. He is a regular headline act at comedy clubs around the UK.
Noel James’ brand of silliness, props and wordplay is a joy to see and has had audiences in stitches at all the major comedy clubs for decades. He frequently performs at the major music and arts festivals including Glastonbury and Reading.
This comedy show, brought to the festival by Shaft of Wit, will also feature a showcase of two of their favourite rising stars Louie McLean (Saturday) & Nelson T Gombakomba Jnr (Friday & Saturday) who are both London Comedy Store King Gong Winners and also Winners of Shaft Of Wit's Dirty Dozen Live Comedy Shootout.
Also Funny Women Award Nominee Hazel Donovan and Malinda Mukuma, a BBC New Comedy Award Semi Finalist will be appearing on Saturday and Sunday.
